Trompette mushrooms, also known as ‘poor man’s truffle’, have delicate, parmesan and blue cheese aromas with intense, mushroom flavours.
Rehydrate the trompettes in warm water, then pull into long, thin strands and use as a delicate garnish for scallops, white fish or beef. Stir into risotto, or even blend into a trompette tapenade and spread on crusty bread.
This 500g tub of dried trompette mushrooms is ideal for caterers.
