Fill the basket with plantain, tempura vegetables or pakoras, then fry until golden brown. The long side handle keeps your hands away from the hot oil, and makes it easy to lift the basket from the pan.
As well as frying, you can use this nifty basket as a steamer. Fill it with vegetables, steam until cooked, then drain.
